The most commonly used and effective gaming monitor sizes are usually around 24 to 27-inches. This is because generally around this size monitors, you get excellent features, great real estate, and convenience of use. 

However, even if you opt for a much larger TV screen to play, you will most likely be no more than 4 to 5-feet away. This means that monitor size will not matter that much since you will be able to see and perform best. 

What is the ideal monitor size for gaming?

While 24-inches has become the standard for most tournaments and pro gamers, 27-inch monitors are a pretty good option as well. They are versatile and grant you enough screen real estate to allow for an immersive experience but without being too big that you can’t take it all in.  

Is a 27-inch monitor too big for gaming?

While most professional gamers prefer a monitor around 24-inches, the 27-inch option is not too far off. The only catch here is that you need a strong resolution to match with the larger monitor as well. If 27-inch monitors are hooked up with 1440p, it makes for an excellent gaming setup.

The size of your screen might affect gaming performance if it is too big that you can’t see in your peripheral vision or too small that details are a little hazy. However, the resolution of your screen has much more of an impact on how you perform while gaming. 

Is 32 inches too big for gaming?

You will find that due to its larger screen size, it might be quite difficult to utilize a 32-inch monitor perfectly for gaming. This is primarily because a screen of this size cannot be absorbed in one go. You might have to move your head to see all of the action on-screen and this might ruin your gaming experience.
