My monitor keeps saying no signal

If your monitor keeps displaying a “No Signal” message then this implies your computer monitor might be operational. However, it is not getting any signals from your computer and a connection is not properly made.

The quickest response is to troubleshoot the issue as this will allow you to make sure that your video and signal cable is connected properly at both ends.

What do I do if my monitor says no signal?

  • One step to take is to first switch your computer off.
  • Once that is done, you can plug the cable that connects both your computer and the monitor back in while making sure that it is properly attached on both ends.
  • Another potential issue might be with the monitor so it can be replaced.
  • The issue might also be with your video card.

Why does my monitor say no signal when computer is on?

Your monitor might not be getting that necessary signal from the computer. There might also be an issue with your video card since it might be outdated or defective. It might also have just overheated and shutting it down for a few minutes might help.

Why is my PC on but no display?

If your computer has been switched on but the monitor has no display, you might want to make sure the monitor is connected via cables. You might also want to look for obvious signs such as the monitor light. This should switch on if it is functional.
