It’s an essential thing that can happen due to mistakes, and you can use the remote controller to check the sound level on the screen, and you will gAudioe the audio back.

But, if you increase the volume and the sound problem still occurs, try to find below what’s restricting the sound output from the TV, and you will find the reason for the absence of sound from the TV with the solution.

But mostly, the Sharp TV’s audio problem is sorted by simply increasing the TV volume or the cable box.

#3: Reboot Sharp TV

The next possible solution to fix the Sharp TV with the picture but no sound is to reboot the TV and all the connected devices with the TV.

Restarting seems simple, but he wonders if it’s the underlying issue of no sound from the TV with the picture.

Once done, play anything on YouTube or Netflix and check if you hear the sound.

Rebooting the Sharp TV refreshes the settings, and all the glitches or issues get resolved during this process, and that’s why you will mostly restore the TV audio after this process.

#4: Customize Audio Settings

If rebooting doesn’t improve audio, try this little advanced technique to bring audio to your Sharp TV.

All you have to do is check the audio input settings.

Just to let you know, the audio input sends audio signals to the TV.

So, one of the reasons when TV gives no sound but pictures is when audio input settings are not set correctly.

You have to check if the SAP ( Secondary Audio Protocol ) isn’t enabled from the TV audio settings.

If SAP is enabled, that meaAudioe audio is routed towards the AUX or HDMI ports, and if they are connected with the TV, you wonAudiot audio from TV speakers.

So, from the Sharp TV’s on-screen menu, you need to check if the audio input goes to the internal speakers, not external speakers or any other input source.

You may have pressed it accidentally, but with compromised input settiAudiof audio, you won’t listen to a thing from the TV.

You can change the SAP to PAP ( Primary Audio Protocol ).

Depending on the TV brand, the process will slightly differ, but a significant part of this process is identical for all types of TV.

For TCL and Roku TV, try this method.

Remote > Home > Settings > Audio > Audio ( Stereo )

For Samsung TV

Support > Self Diagnosis > Start Sound Test

If there is an issue, reset the sound settings

Settings > Sound > Expert Settings > Reset Sound

#5: Examine Headphones Port

Another big reason for no sound coming from your Sharp TV is when something external ( Headphones or speakers ) is connected to the TV, and due to that TV won’t play audio in the internal speakers.

When wired or wireless headphones/speakers are connected with TAudioe, audio is routed to these connected devices or devices like Bluetoothaccessoriess or any other audio output devicAudion audio will be transmitted into these devices in the internal speakers.

If, due to back luck, you cannot hear sound in the headset or speaker plugged into the headphones jack, then make sure the connector is inserted correctly or clear the jack from any debris which can cause problems.

If the TV intercepts audio, check for any other wireless headphones in your home because they can override the audio preferences. So the sound of streaming media will be playing in any other headphones altogether.

Where do I find the headphones jack?

The headphone jack is mainly installed on the rear side of the TV for most brands and models, but for some, the location can be different, and you may have to find that yourself depending on the brand and model you have.

Another scenario can be when you are using your Sharp TV as a monitor for playing games where you have connected your gaming devices like your PC, console, PS4, or NVIDIA Shield,f you face probation audio, you can check whether the streaming devices are correctly connected.

#6: Examine Connection Cables

HDMI test for Samsung TV, make sure TV is on the HDMI settings

Settings > Support > Self Diagnosis > Signal Information > HDMI Cable Test > Start Test

damaged cables can be replaced; when the TV seems to produce no sound, check if cables are secured, not any cable is cut, removed, disconnected, or loose,

Double check the connection cables when TV is giving no sound but pictures because when the external media devices or hardware devices like gaming consoles, satellite receivers, Blu-Ray players, and cable TV boxes are not connected properly, the TV struggle with audio.

Similarly, when you connect different cables with the TV, like HDMI cables, SCART leads, Phono cables, Optical cables, Auxiliary cables, RCA connections, Coaxial Audio cables, or any specific cable or component that controls audio, you should check the physical connection.

If not, check that the wire isn’t disconnected, cut, damaged, or loose because these are the potential reasons why the TV doesn’t produce sound.

The simple option can be to unplug everything, plug them back, and reconnect firmly to avoid any more issues.

  • Click on Start Test

By doing so, you will make sure that HDMI isn’t causing the audio problem with the TV. Any problem there is will be taken care of by the built-in TV program.

#7: Check Internal and External Speakers

the issue with your Sharp TV speakers, internal speakers, external speakers,

Until now, if nothing has worked for you to fix the TV audio, It could be possible that the internal speakers are damaged or there is some issue.

It could be a reason if you have been using the TV at total volume or using an amplifier that is more potent than speakers and can push the TV’s internal speakers to limits.

Similarly, due to any reason, the IC of the speaker could have been damaged.

By the way, IC drives the internal speaker and can heat up and fail. So, you may have to replace either the IC or the mainboard/motherboard of the TV, which is beyond an ordinary person’s skills. So, it’s better to get the help of a technician for that.

The motherboard part number is 1AA4B10N260A0, and the number of the IC is LV4906, in case you purchase them.

Now, if you have been using external speakers with your TV, you should also check if those speakers are working fine or not. Otherwise, you will keep saying that the TV has some issues, which is why the TV gives no sound but pictures.

For sony TV, you can follow the process below when using an external soundboard or A receiver audio system.

  • Set “Control for HDMI” for both audio systems to “On.”
  • Turn on Audio Return Channel on Soundbar
  • Set the audio output destination from the TV to “Audio System.”
  • Press Input or TV from remote
  • Turn on the TV, Turn on the Audio system
  • Set TV’s digital audio output setting to PCM

For LG TV

  • Go to the scenes on the TV
  • Find All settings
  • Locate to sound
  • Click on Sound Out
  • Choose HDMI ARC, Optical, or Bluetooth

For Samsung TV

Settings > Sound > Sound Out > Sound Expert > HDMI ARC, Optical, Bluetooth,

#8: Change Channel

The quickest fix for the Sharp TV volume can be changing the channel because sometimes, one channel is not working correctly, so changing the track solves the problem.

#9: Check for TV Software Updates

In some cases, update the TV software/firmware to fix the TV with no sound but a picture.

Updating the TV’s old or outdated OS/firmware from the previous version to the latest version can remove all the issues and glitches within the TV. Hopefully, the sound issue will also get resolved after this.

The firmware update procedure can be different for different TV manufacturers.

Either you can connect the TV to the internet to download the latest firmware version or install the software on your laptop/PC, copy it into the flash, and insert the moment into the TV’s USB port to install it.

After upgrading the TV software, the TV should play snow if that was why the TV was not producing sound.

#10: Perform an Analog Broadcast

Another quick fix for a TV is not giving sound but the picture to perform an analog broadcast.

When you use a TV with an analog broadcast, you will listen to the noise while turning, which means the TV is working fine. If no sound comes, that means the TV has an issue.

#11: Verify MTS settings for Television

You can verify MTS settings for Television when you play with the settings of the TV Stereo.

When you see that the TV is giving the lowest sound if only one speaker is working, that means TV is not set to stereo. And it’s not able to transmit signals from stereo settings.

You can replace or adjust the source device.

#12: Reset the TV settings

What worked for me was to reset the Sharp TV to its factory settings.

I must tell you that resetting the TV does remove all incompatibility issues, glitches, or faults in the TV.

But a factory reset will erase all the data, preferences, information, and configurations you had done previously.

After the reset, the TV will act like a brand-new device with new audio settings that will eliminate the audio loss issue.

When you reset the TV, it clears the short-term memory of the TV and resolves all other issues, which is why the sound is restored after this process.

You can follow the on-screen instructions to reset the TV for factory settings.

The final option for any Sharp TV owner to get rid of the audio issue is the factory reset the Sharp TV because if there are any software issues causing audio to be absent, they will be taken care of after the reset. So, once you are done with the reset, the audio troubles on your Sharp TV will be gone forever.

How to do a Hard Reset of Sharp TV?

  • Press and hold the “Channel Down” button and the “Input” button
  • Plug Sharp TV back
  • continue holding the buttons until the TV turns around on
  • Grab the remote, and go to “Service Mode.”
  • Choose “Factory Reset”
  • Hit “Enter” on remote

During a hard reset, the Sharp TV will lose all the personal data, settings, and configurations. You will also be signed out, and all the apps you installed will be uninstalled and deleted.

How to do a soft reset of Sharp TV?

  • Turn on Sharp TV
  • Hit “Menu” on remote
  • Hit the “Setup” option
  • Navigate to the “Reset” option

  • Enter Passcode is locked
  • The message will come “Now initializing.”

Even with the soft reset, the Sharp TV will lose all the personal data and configurations, and all the apps you installed will be uninstalled and deleted. But this also removes ambiguities with the software and will surely rectify the audio problem with your Sharp TV.

#13: Signal Source Damage

Another possible reason for a TV with no sound but pictures can be the damaged signal source.

The source of the TV signal should be more than 20dB.

Luckily, Samsung TV allows you to do that yourself by

Going into the settings > Support > Self-diagnosis > Signal information.

#14: Mainboard Elements Damage

The mainboard, also called the motherboard the rich, is the backbone or the spine of the TV set; if it turns into an error or problem, the TV will surely lose the ability to produce sound with a handful of other issues.

The bad news is that you cannot do anything here because playing with a TV’s technical parts is beyond a regular person’s skills unless you are a TV technician.

Recovering the mainboard can help you restore the sound of the TV.

#15: Check for hardware problems.

Finally, you can check for any hardware problems with the TV, like if the signal source is damaged, internal or external speakers are damaged, or the mainboard is damaged. In this case, all you can do is get help from a professional TV expert.

The best part is that we have discussed and ensured these methods are for all brands like Samsung, LG, Sony, Vizio, TCL, Element, Insignia, Sharp, Hisense, Philips, Loewe, Mitsubishi, Panasonic, Toshiba, RCA, Sanyo, Emerson, Olevia, Funai, Sceptre.

Conclusion

Overall, Sharp TVs are known for their usability, reliability, durability, and quality to deliver an enjoyable viewing experience. If a Sharp TV runs into a problem, there are many options to resolve the issues, like the audio issue when Sharp TV has no sound but picture, but simple troubleshooting steps can alsofixe it.
